Lessons NOT learned.

Man, JFK2 and his surrogates just will not stop demonstrating their collective ignorance about the command and control of the American Military.

If there's one thing that can be taken away from our VietNam experience, it's that wars that are run by politicians do not go very well. Generals are trained and paid to run the military. The president and his cabinet, regardless of their collective military background, are not.

Kerry is whining that W made mistakes in allowing OBL to get away and now that it was the president's direct responsibility to ensure that some amount of possibly non-existant explosives were not looted before during or after the war. This smacks of an expectation of military micro-management on a scale not seen in 40 years.

Sorry buddy, but if you're planning to conduct youself as Commander In Chief as you are venting that W should have, you will end up doing more damage to the US Military than Lyndon Johnson and Bill Clinton combined.
