I talked my mom into purchasing a signed copy of Bill Buckley's latest book. She coughed up about an extra $25 over the list price to do it. The book arrived today and she called me immediately to tell me about the signature. Her description was. "I think you could have done this the first time I put a pen in your hand." I apologized profusely and she was good humored about it as she always is. Now she wants me to find a documented version of his signature. She says she'll feel better if he signs everything like that.

I had recently read this article and it didn't make much sense, what with its intriguing annonymity. Now I understand.
