Next Roofing Project

So the house, as built in 1986 did not have a garage with a roll up door. At some point in the late '90s (I think), the builders/previous owners tacked an extension off the west side of the house and enclosed a section of driveway. The slapped a tin roof on it and used sheet metal slid under the original shingles to bridge the gap. (This section of gap-bridging actually worked.)

The main problem with the setup is that there is only about a 1" drop in 12 feet and water tended to pool on the roof. They also didn't use any drip edges and skimped on the overhangs so water is constantly getting into the eaves.

It has finally deteriorated to the point that I can't stand it anymore. Last afternoon, I tore down the rotted trash and today I will commence removing the tin and its supports and restructuring the roof with about a 4-5" drop and no real overhangs to rot away.
