God Speed Carroll

The man from whom I received my middle name has passed away today at 89. I think his greatest accomplishment was taking on and crushing Ferrari on their own European turf during the heyday of sports car racing during the early to mid 1960's.

Thanks for the memories and the spectacular automotive masterpieces. (And I'm even including the GLH.)

Sincerely,

Aaron Shelby Rose

Finally.

The roof is complete. Garcia Roofing & Sheetmetal did the work. Amazingly professional from the shop to the quote to the crew. It was certainly not cheap at a grand total for all of my work and then the roof of somewhere in the neighborhood of a 2012 Kia Soul, but it needed to be done and I think it looks spectacular. The sun isn't out, but you can compare the before and after to see the differences. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

New Roof a'Comin'

I finished up all of the painting and replacement of the soffit vents last weekend. I still need to cut the holes for the six new onew to replace the ones lost with the old soffit boards, but that's not a big deal.

I heard from the roofing company this afternoon. They will be starting first thing tomorrow morning. I can't wait to see the results and put this behind us.

Here are the last pictures hopefully before the new roof:
