A light, airy, effervescent, blog of grave consequence. (NOT!) Dedicated to those of us who must respond to negative stimuli by Chernobyling (entombing in concrete) our innermost thoughts.

Bush, Iraqi Ranger

56 days after conviction, Saddam is executed by hanging.

Almost makes you want to move to Texas. (Chuck Norris is Proud.)

Brooks & Dunn

OK. Having seen Kix's mike turned off on the CMA's a couple years ago, and now watching the video for "I Believe", could someone tell me exactly what the frig Kix Brooks brings to the duo???!

Perillo Tours

I just saw an ad for Perillo Tours of Italy.

Mind you I'm in southern Louisiana.

I remember listening to their ads on 880 WCBS when I was driving to highschool 18 years ago. I guess they're branching out, but I don't see all that many obvious Italians around here......

Infomercials, not the smartest scriptwriters...

Just watching the "My Little Reminder" ad for the billionth time during MASH on the Hallmark Channel. I am so sick of this ad. The unit is a little worthless digital voice recorder they're selling for $5 apiece. The stupid part is when the "home maker" character looks into the pantry while dictating a grocery list into the doo-hickey. "Milk, Juice, Butter, Eggs" she says.

No wonder she needs more. If she's storing those items in the pantry, I don't want to ever be invited over for dinner.

What. Huskies and Ted's aren't enough?

UConn, my alma mater, is not appealing enough to kiddies who like to do things other than study, so they are building a new town on campus funded by state and private sources.

Read about it here.

Here's one for mom...

Nothing like modern wiring....

Faulty wiring blamed for two fires in Paris, TX

Where would we be....

Now that two of our three spawn are firmly planted in Uncle Sam's bosom, (Yeah, that's a gender bending metaphor, but whadaya gonna do?), it's time to acknowledge their efforts.

Congratulations and thanks to:

Pvt. Raymond Scott Martin Jr., US Army Infantry, Fort Irwin, CA

A1C Bernice E. Rose, US Air Force, Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX

We're all very proud of you and pray for you to always do your best.

In other entertainment news....

One of the main reasons I can't stand modern church services is what passes for music. Be-bopping new-age bullshit should not be allowed in a church service. The word awesome should be banned as well.

Try this link if you want REAL Christian music. Ancient Faith Radio.

Click on the right-most link at the top for WMP version.

Al Gore, An Inconvenient Dipshit.

Hmmmm. Man this global warming sucks. The warmer waters on El Nino effectively cancelled the predicted horrible Atlantic hurricane season in 2006 and now it is running about 25 degrees below average down here in Louisiana for the last month or so.

Maybe we need to generate a bit more pollution to get my temps down here back up where they belong. I keep expecting Manny, Sid, Diego and Scrat to wander through.
